White Stripes Drummer Engaged

Meg Smith, drummer for rock band the White Stripes, is set to marry guitarist Jackson Smith. The two have been dating since last summer, and plan to tie the knot on May 22, the Detroit Free Press reports.
White, 34, was previously married to bandmate Jack White from 1996 to 2000, though their relationship has been famously ambiguous, leading many to assume the rockers with a common surname were actually siblings. Smith, 27, the son of punk rock icon Patti Smith, has never been married.

The couple plans to wed in Nashville, with a reception in Detroit soon after the wedding weekend..
"They don’t want it to be a circus,” said a source close to White and Smith. "They want it to be about the two of them."
