Flu fear keeps Jonas Brothers out of Mexico

Trio postpones May 17 tour stop in Monterrey, moves show to July 31
The Jonas Brothers won’t be “Burnin’ Up” Mexico this month, thanks to swine flu concerns.
The brother band has postponed its May 17 tour stop at Arena Monterrey in Mexico back to July 31 “due to health precautions in the whole country as a consequence of the outbreak of the A(H1N1) flu,” according to Billboard.
The canceled date still appears on the Jonas’ MySpace page.
The band is embarking on a world tour in support of its latest album, “Lines, Vines & Trying Times,” due on June 14.
The JoBros were slated to play two shows on May 17. Tickets will reportedly be honored at the new shows, which will be at 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on July 31. Demi Lovato is scheduled to open.
The illness hasn’t just affected musicians — the launch of films “X-Men Origins: Wolverine,” “Terminator Salvation” and “Star Trek” were all delayed in Mexico over similar concerns. Hugh Jackman will promote “Wolverine” in Mexico City on May 26 after his previously scheduled appearance was canceled.
