American Idol' alum David Archuleta's latest video for the song 'Touch My Hand,' is a live montage for good reason: The singer wanted to explore the connection between him and his fans.
"It's about that moment where you're up onstage and see someone in the audience," Archuleta says of the third single from his debut album. "When you start singing to them, it feels like you're the only two people in the entire room."


As for the musical idols he's had such moments with, Archuleta tells PopEater that he's a big fan of Alanis Morissette, but that seeing Adele play in his hometown was one of the best live shows he's been to. "She didn't have anything fancy," he says. "I loved how it was all about just her voice and the music. Her singing gave me chills."
Sometimes that special connection can take a turn for the strange, though, as evidenced by one interesting fan experience the singer encountered. "Out of nowhere this middle-aged lady just screamed my name, grabbed me and started trying to kiss my face. She wouldn't let go, either!" Archuleta says, laughing. "I was able to break loose from her without hurting her or anything, but it was just really bizarre."
